Working with Chubb Life, Axe Life and AIA in Vietnam, Nhon Ly deploys his wisdom into Myanmar’s life insurance industry. During his time in Vietnam, Nhon Ly was instrumental in driving AIA’s innovative approach.

Sally Chong FT, Chief Technology and Operations Officer of AIA Myanmar brings her 34 years of Asian life insurance experience to Myanmar. Utilizing Myanmar’s history of leap frogging she looks forward to streamlining operations in an efficient manner. With Sally ideas become reality.

Vivek Bernard Aranha
Chief Strategy Officer, AIA Myanmar
Vivek Aranha, the Chief Strategy Officer of AIA Myanmar is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the company, building the agency and partnership distribution channels, securing new distribution partners and partnerships to enhance the customer proposition. He is also responsible for executing and driving sales for the partnership distribution channel. Vivek has been involved with AIA Myanmar for the past three years and played a key role in AIA being granted a 100% wholly-owned life insurance license in Myanmar.
Before his move to Myanmar, Vivek was part of the AIA Group Business Strategy team based in Hong Kong and worked on a range of material-to-Group organic and inorganic projects, which included the development of AIA Group’s 5-year corporate strategy.
Vivek has over 11 years of experience in the Asia region across 10 countries and before joining AIA, he worked with KPMG, MetLife and Sunlife in both regional and country roles. He has taken on a number of roles ranging from heading strategy in a country to to playing a key role in the Asia regional team launching and building the Bancassurance channel in Vietnam and Malaysia.
Vivek holds an MBA degree in Finance and Strategy and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

Grace Hmun, the Chief Agency Officer of AIA Myanmar is a local who brings back her 18 years of experience from the USA, home. Through her work, Grace hopes to be able to contribute to the socio-economic development of Myanmar.
Starting as just a client financial analyst at Citibank, to Mortgage Loan Officer, to Deputy General Manager at CB Insurance in Myanmar, Grace is dedicated to helping the next generation have a better life and future. She attributes her success to having a good foundation with her mathematics degree.
Since her return from USA, Grace has used her charisma to inspire the youth of Myanmar to study hard and work hard towards a better life. Receiving awards in Myanmar, The Luyechun Award for her high intellect, to being the Top Sales-Closer in the USA, she is able to leverage her experiences with the youth.
Grace looks forward to taking advantage of her position to develop a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to make a difference in Myanmar.
Chief Marketing Officer, AIA Myanmar
Linh Nguyen, the Chief Marketing Officer of AIA Myanmar brings her understanding of people to the company. By understanding people, AIA Myanmar can address their needs, to better support them in their endeavors.
Linh has worked for Nielsen for 9 years, focusing on customer insight and sales effectiveness. Linh is a woman of evidence. Her marketing schemes are based off of data, making them not only effective, but also a blueprint for other insurance companies to follow. Her work has contributed to 30% of the total company’s revenue. Linh has also worked with AIG as the Head of Direct Marketing developing the framework for other AIG markets in the world.
Now in Myanmar, Linh looks forward to marrying digital marketing, customer marketing, market intelligence, branding and communication to influence the people of Myanmar to live healthier, longer and better lives. She hopes Myanmar is ready for her innovation to challenge the status quo for a better Myanmar.
Linh’s career revolves around Sales Effectiveness, Customer Insight and Head of Marketing in three different countries. She has trained hundreds of team mates, making them experts in market research and customer insight. Linh hopes to do the same in Myanmar. Until she has succeeded in doing so she will not consider her job in Myanmar complete.
Chief Actuary, AIA Myanmar
Kelvin Yeong, Chief Actuary of AIA Myanmar is a renowned actuary in the region for over 9 years. Kelvin strongly believes that insurance can drive socio-economic growth in emerging markets. He hopes to help advance the insurance industry in Myanmar.
Since the beginning of his professional career Kelvin has always known that he wanted to be an actuary. Graduating with an Actuarial Science Degree from the National University of Malaysia, Kelvin excelled in school by being in the first class. Shortly after, Kelvin was inducted into The Society of Actuaries as Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) and Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA). He has worked with AIA in Malaysia as the Senior Actuary, as the Regional Actuary with MetLife Asia and now the Chief Actuary with AIA Myanmar.
Kelvin is passionate in providing business solutions and insights through the application of analytical and risk management knowledge. With his in-depth experience and knowledge Kelvin is able to understand business and apply new techniques to bring tremendous benefits to the Myanmar people and country.
