[Yangon, Myanmar, 10 October 2020] – AIA Myanmar today announced the launch of its “Share The Love” campaign that celebrates the festival of Thadingyut with the gift of giving. From 10.10 (10th October) to 11.11 (11th November), AIA will give its new or existing individual members the opportunity to gift an insurance policy to a loved one, completely funded by AIA, and at no additional cost to either the AIA member or the loved one!
One of the most cherished festivals in Myanmar, Thadingyut is a time where the lights of love, respect and gratitude are aglow phenomenally. With the “Share The Love” campaign, AIA Myanmar aims to elevate these Thadingyut’s spirits brighter by providing its members with the opportunity to thank and protect a loved one, by gifting them a health insurance policy. In addition to protecting and providing the loved one with health insurance coverage during the current COVID-19 pandemic, it will also help raise awareness of the benefits of life and health insurance. The campaign will be launched through a series of online activities and a campaign video that aims to encapsulate the “Share the Love” message.
“You see generosity in the people of Myanmar every day and the willingness to give heartfelt support to each other. For many, that virtue extends to providing a lifetime of care and protection for their loved ones, especially during Thadingyut,” said Luc Ly, CEO of AIA Myanmar. “With our “Share The Love” campaign, we intend to light the way leading to more love and emotional closeness during this meaningful Thadingyut because giving is the light that reflects the best in us,” he added.
The ”Share The Love” campaign is aimed at AIA Myanmar continuing to support health and wellbeing efforts, through gifting health insurance protection to the people of Myanmar, to ensure they are protected and safe during the current wave of COVID-19.
As part of its Healthier, Longer, Better Lives commitment, AIA has been an active supporter of community health and wellbeing efforts through its CSR programs in Myanmar AIA organized its AIA GOAL events in Yangon, which saw Tottenham Hotspur development coaches visit Myanmar to train hundreds of budding youth footballers. AIA also celebrated its 100-year anniversary last year, marking this Centennial in Myanmar with the AIA GO! FOR LIGHT charity 5K run in support of providing solar panels to 100 households in rural Bagan.
